Keputusan Killed By Butterfly untuk memilih jalur rock dan hip metal ternyata didukung oleh keluarga masing-masing. Begitu pula dengan Roma. Walau menggeluti musik yang mungkin bagi orang awam dianggap ‘berisik’, namun orang tuanya tak keberatan.
“Sejauh ini tidak yah, meskipun band kita lagu-lagunya keras, orang tua masih bisa menerima. Palingan ibu-ibu yang komplain. Dari SMP gue sudah mengenal musik. Dulu mainnya bass, cuma berhubung yang main gitar sekolah di luar negeri, jadi gue ngegantiin dia,” kata Roma di Pantai Carnaval, Ancol, Jakarta, Sabtu (8/8).
Roma menambahkan, dari kecil dirinya sudah diajarkan bermain musik. Lalu, dari mana bakat yang diperolehnya itu? Mengingat kedua orang tuanya, Alm. Sophan Sophiaan dan Widyawati adalah aktor kawakan.

Loe semua pada tau gak emo tuch apa sich!!!! pasti loe semua bilang cuma aliran musik…. padahal dari kampung halamannya nan jauh disana…. dan dari buku-buku yang gw baca klo emo tuch bukan sekedar aliran musik tapi, emo tuch sekumpulan anak-anak muda yang tersisihkan dari pergaulannya ” dikucilkan dipergaulan”… makanya banyak anak-anak muda yang berjiwa emo menutupi mukanya dengan poni yang panjang/ emo style.. dan tidak cuma style saja, anak-anak emo juga meneriakan isi hati nya dengan musik, yang sampe skarang dikenal dengan musik screamo!!! tapi untuk di Indonesia sendiri emo dijadikan Up to Date dipergaulan / cuma tau style nya aja, tapi gak tau apa arti emo itu sendiri!!! malu banget gak sich!!!!
